SUMMARY:Snow Moon Walk
DESCRIPTION:The Snow Moon Guided Walk at Lake Mansfield is a free\, family-friendly evening event hosted by the Great Barrington Land Conservancy from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on January 31st\, with participants meeting at the Lake Mansfield beach area. \n\n\n\nregistration required / group size limited  \n\n\n\nIn order to get the best chance of viewing the moon in the early evening we are meeting one day before the full moon\, when the moon will rise earlier. We are looking forward to this dusk to dark opportunity to experience sights and sounds the winter forest and lake area. \n\n\n\nPlease prepare by dressing warmly for winter conditions. Boots are required. Flashlights and Micro spikes are suggested. \n\n\n\nNOTE: Winter conditions are highly changeable\, we will be sure to inform registrants if we need to postpone or change this event\, please preregister.

DESCRIPTION:Winter’s cold dark days are upon us.  But take heart!  Our resident winter birds are still with us\, ready to lift our spirits with their cheerful presence. \n\n\n\nTo stay active and outside this winter season\, join GBLC and Berkshire Bird Observatory for our Winter Bird Walk series–back by popular demand. \n\n\n\nWe will meet on Saturdays at 10 AM at the Berkshire Food Co-op\, from January through the end of March.   \n\n\n\nNew to birding?  That’s okay!  Have a friend you’d like to introduce to the hobby?  Bring them along!  Everyone is welcome and the trail is handicap accessible. \n\n\n\nWhether you come for the birds\, comradery\, or both you will surely have a good time.   \n\n\n\nPlease register here.  And feel free to share the link and/or distribute the attached flyer.   \n\n\n\nWe look forward to seeing you on the trail. \n\n\n\nThis series is sponsored by Ben Nickley\, President and Executive Director\, Berkshire Bird Observatory
